All degree candidates must wear the proper academic regalia to participate in Convocation. Academic regalia is available to order online at or through the University Bookstore, located at 970 East 58th Street.

Division of the Humanities master degree candidates are to wear a cap, gown, and tassel, available for $88. A hood is required for MAPH (Master of Arts Program in the Humanities) and CMES (Center for Middle Eastern Studies) for an additional $38. Students graduating with an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) are not required to wear a hood. 

Attire that is pre-ordered online by March 17 can be picked up at Countdown to Convocation occurring April 16 - April 17, 2018, at Ida Noyes Hall, First Floor, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. In partnership with the Office of University Events and Ceremonies, the University Bookstore will host this two-day event for anticipated graduates during the fourth week of Spring Quarter. Please note that attire ordered after March 17, 2018, may be picked up from the University Bookstore.
