514th Convocation

514th Convocation Ceremony

The 514th Convocation will take place on Friday, March 22, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. and will be held in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel. All graduating candidates will participate in this ceremony, during which the president will confer degrees and present each graduate with their diploma individually.

Tickets & Seating

Tickets are required for the 514th Convocation; each candidate is entitled to a total of three guest tickets. All guests including babies are required to have a ticket to enter Rockefeller Memorial Chapel. Requests for extra tickets should be made as early as possible through your Dean of Students Office.  Tickets may be picked up by the graduating candidate at their Dean of Students Office beginning Monday, March 18, 2013 (The College beginning Tuesday, March 19, 2013)

Overflow seating will be available at Max Palevsky Cinema in Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th Street, where a live video feed of the ceremony will be shown. Ticket at the cinema are not required.

Seating is available at a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 2:15 p.m. There will be no admittance after 2:45 p.m.

Convocation Reception

The University of Chicago Alumni Association invites all graduates and their guests to attend the Convocation Reception immediately following the ceremony in the Lobby of Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th Street. The Alumni Association will toast to the accomplishments of the newest members of the alumni community.

Some schools and divisions host events for their graduates and guests, please check back in January 2013 for updated information.
